MY STORY
I'm a UX researcher based in Southern California, driven by a non-traditional path that has enriched my perspective. With a bachelor's in psychology from UCSD, I initially pursued mental health but shifted gears upon realizing my passion for UX research. This transition was inspired by a desire to leverage my skillset in crafting empathetic designs that truly impact users' lives.
Graduating from the UCI UX/UI Bootcamp, I bring a user-centric approach to every project, informed by my deep understanding of user psychology. While my ultimate goal is to contribute to mental health tech, I'm currently open to roles that allow me to apply my dedication and empathy to simplify experiences for all. My Process
Empathy
My process begins and ends with empathy for the user. I believe that the key to performing research for effective and impactful designs is to put myself in the user's shoes and understand their perspectives.
Psychology
With my background in psychology, I confidently conduct thorough research and analysis to gain insights into user behavior, attitudes, and motivations to inform empathetic designs.
Collaboration
My years of experience as a collegiate water polo player have honed my teamwork skills, making me an effective collaborator who understands the value of diverse perspectives and encourages open communication and idea-sharing.
When I'm not working, you can usually find me outside, soaking up all that Southern California has to offer. I spend my free time surfing, hiking, and snorkeling, and I love exploring the beauty of the natural world.
But I'm not just a nature lover - I'm also a musician and (aspiring) chef. When I'm not catching waves or hitting the trails, you'll find me messing around on my guitar or cooking something up in the kitchen. I'm always on the lookout for new recipes to try out on my fiancé Erin, so if you have any favorites, don't hesitate to send them on over :)
For me, life is all about balance and finding joy in the simple things, so I always strive to approach life with a positive attitude and an open heart.
