Instruments

Jeff performs exclusively on Yamaha trumpets. His Bb trumpets are the 8310 Custom Z and Xeno models 8345S and 8345G large bore (.462). Jeff's flugelhorn is the 6310Z and his piccolo trumpet is the 6310S 4-valve short model.

Microphones

Jeff uses the Roamer I system from Applied Microphone Technology (AMT). The system attaches to the bell or body of the instrument and features Samson wireless technology.

Mouthpieces

Trumpet: Bob Reeves screw rim 43.5m with a 692s backbore, cut for Reeves sleeves. Jeff uses a size 5 sleeve for jazz playing and a size 5.5 for lead playing. Jeff uses a standard screw rim Reeves 43.5c for symphonic playing. On flugelhorn, it's a standard Bob Reeves 43.5 flugelhorn mouthpiece.
